Main Portal Vein Thrombosis Post TACE: A Case Report

Introduction: Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) is one of the palliative treatments offered in patients staged Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) B. TACE can lead to many complications, like decompensation liver, liver abscess, rupture, femoral artery pseudoaneurysm and gallbladder pathology. Methods: We report a case 58-year old gentleman, which developed extensive portal vein thrombosis immediately post its management. Results: In this report, we discuss presenting signs symptoms developing TACE, along with other complications that may arise from TACE. A review literature condition discussion possible management included. Conclusion: Development rare complication, severe morbidity mortality. Although rare, it has be considered as procedure.
